Rainbows mean hope...

A rainbow in the simplest form of its meaning is hope.

Hope of another day; a new day;

Hope of another opportunity;

Hope of a second chance;

Hope of things to come

Background

After the flood that subdued the earth (see scripture below), God promised Noah that he would never again destroy the earth by flooding it. God made a covenant with Noah and it is signified by a rainbow after rainfall as a memorial (reminder) of the covenant:

Genesis 9:13–17

'I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.'

Look at the destruction and desolation that plagues this place...

Peace is no longer; hope has fled, there is almost nothing left!

Touched by no other, faithful from the start, that is me...

Trust has dissolved, faithfulness is a myth, how could he bring death to the pot?

Positive.

How can I be positive?

Commitment failed, vows broken, lies told consistently...

Health is gone, vitality is no longer; how will I look after my children?

Positive.

HIV Positive, yes that is me.

Sickness will come, death is inevitable but there is one hope to hold.

Drugs and good food and care mean life will be preserved.

I will cope, I will find strength to be mother and daughter, sister and friend.

Yes I am positive;

That being HIV positive;

Does not have to be the end of me...
