Something old...

I have a great love for old buildings and the greatest of these I believe is old church buildings. In a drive through a neighboring village not fifteen minutes from my home I came across one such piece of architectural history, the St Lawrence Church, Chobham.

‘The earlier church was a small building consisting of a chancel with a nave of about half the length of the present one, dating from the beginning of the 12th century or a little earlier. Today it is a Grade 1 listed building which affords it protection from being torn down or damaged in any way by human intention. St Lawrence is still a functioning church today, having ‘brought the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the village of Chobham for nearly 1000 years’.

Around the village there are many beautiful farms as well as untouched land, the latter of which i have captured below...
